1. Prepare the Area

Remove all weeds from the desired area. For added protection, apply pre-emergent herbicide before laying down the fabric.

2. Place the Fabric

Unroll fabric and cut to desired length. Fit the fabric around plants, lights, etc., by cutting slits “X” where needed. Overlapping a minimum of 4-6 inches and secure with Fabric Staples, staggering 1.2 staples per square yard.

3. Cover the Fabric

Immediately cover with 3-4 inches of mulch, bark, decorative rock or stone to protect the fabric from sunlight and to enhance the appearance of your project.

1. Prepare Area

Remove all weeds from the desired area. For added protection, apply pre-emergent herbicide before laying down fabric. For best weed control and soil stabilization, install fabric with fuzzy side facing the ground. For mulch stabilization, install the fuzzy side up.

2. Place Fabric

1. COVERAGE

  1. Up to 200 sq. ft. per gallon (18.58 sq. m. per 3.78 liters). Coverage may vary depending on surface and application.

2. PREPARATION

  1. To increase effectiveness, press mulch in place to compact the area.
  2. Lightly water mulch before applying to increase the bonding of Mulch Stabilizer.

3. APPLICATION

  1. Spray Mulch Stabilizer in a slow, even, saturating coat.
  2. For better stabilization, a second coat is recommended. Allow the first coat to dry for at least 2 hours.

4. CURE

  1. Let dry for 24 hours without rain or sprinklers.

5. USER TIPS

  • Apply with an Heavy-Duty Construction Sprayer.
  • Maximum bond strength after 24 hours.
  • Do not apply if rain is forecasted within 48 hours. Mulch needs to stay dry during the curing process
  • Apply when the temperature will stay between 50°F–80°F for 48 hours before and after installation.
  • Avoid spraying directly onto plants or trees.
  • Not recommended for pine/chunk bark nuggets or wood chips.

6. CLEAN UP

  • Rinse off all equipment with clean water and let dry.

7. STORAGE

  • KEEP FROM FREEZING. Store container in a cool area with cap or lid firmly in place.

Rock Binder

Rock Binder™ is a liquid-bonding agent that holds a variety of rocks and aggregates up to 3/4” angular stone and 3/8” round stone together. It bonds and stabilizes rocks and aggregates to reduce the effects of blow-out from heavy wind or leaf blowers, washout from heavy rain, and other environmental elements. Safe for use around children, plants, and animals. The surface remains flexible, allowing water to pass through.

Please note that the aggregates can be up to 3/4” angular or 3/8” round stone for SRW Rock Binder™ to work as desired.

Instructions

  • Spread aggregate and lightly tamp/compact into place.
  • Rinse the rock before applying SRW Rock Binder™ to remove dust. Let dry before applying SRW Rock Binder™.
  • Stir SRW Rock Binder™ well before each use
  • With a pressurized sprayer, spray SRW Rock Binder™ in a slow, even, saturating coat.
  • First Coat: Spray SRW Rock Binder™ in a slow, even saturating coat.
    • Note – the product goes on white and dries clear
  • Wait 15 – 30 minutes before applying the second coat, allowing the first coat to partially dry and become tacky. Typically, when the product is no longer white.
  • Second Coat: Spray in a slow, even saturating coat.
  • Let dry for 24 hours without rain, sprinklers, or extreme humidity. Dry time may vary based on the temperature.
  • When using SRW Rock Binder™ for dust and erosion control, please refer to our User Tips for instructions.

CLEANUP

  • Immediately rinse off all equipment with clean water and let dry.

USER TIPS

  • Intended for decorative areas only
  • Apply with a pressurized sprayer
  • Maximum bond strength after 24 hours
  • DO NOT apply if rain, or in extreme humidity is forecast within 24 hours. The area must remain dry during the curing process. (Bond time will be longer with colder temperatures and shorter with higher temperatures.)
  • Avoid spraying directly onto plants or trees
  • Always test in a small, discrete area before use
  • Sprays on white, dries clear
  • For dust and erosion control: Dilute 1 part SRW Rock Binder™ with 5 parts water.
  • NOT recommended for areas with foot or vehicle traffic
